‘We’re all gonna die anyway’: the eschatological tranquillity of Russian Baptists during the pandemic

The article discusses how the Russian Baptist community reacted to COVID-19 pandemic and state-imposed restrictions. After initial fears of unknown unprecedented threat, most believers normalised situation positioned it in context their faith, Gospel message, eschatological expectations. I analyse tranquillity interpretative tradition applying Bible everyday life, moral potentialities that restrictions created for believers.
